Refined Sugar Free Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- •1 cup date paste
- •1 cup coconut milk
- •¼ cup date syrup
- •1 tsp vanilla
- •Pinch of salt
Directions
- 1Soften your date paste via one or two 30-second increments in the microwave or until soft. Add to your blender.
- 2Heat coconut milk until warm to the touch (but not hot enough to simmer), then add to your blender.
- 3Add date syrup, vanilla, and salt.
- 4Blend until smooth.
- 5Use on your parfaits, bread, ice cream, rice cakes, or as a dip for fruit or pretzels. Enjoy!
- 6Pro tip: Refrigerate in an airtight jar after making. It stays fresh for at least a week before it begins to ferment. After that, simply scoop off the fermented top and use what's underneath.
